This July 25th, I am inviting you into a story that has taken years to find its voice.
As a guest chef at Ms. Janes Fine Dining, I am honored to share "The Memory Table", an immersive culinary experience where food, art, and storytelling come together.
I have spent 5 years rebuilding after an accident changed the direction of my life. During that time, I found my way back through art, through food, and through asking myself what kind of stories I wanted to leave behind.
The Memory Table became the way I learned to tell the story I could not find words for.
This is not about changing the world in one evening. It is about sharing the experiences that changed me and inviting you to sit with them beside me.
Every one of the seven courses carries a memory. Some speak about survival. Some ask difficult questions about history, accountability, identity, and the choices we make. Others make room for healing and hope. Together they follow the same path I have walked from rupture into reflection and finally toward restoration.
The experience also lives inside the walls of Ms. Jane's Fine Dining where my mural Interconnected Heritage now hangs. The mural and this menu are having the same conversation. They speak about family, resilience, community, and the memories we carry forward.
I am especially honored that Monique Perry is joining me for this experience. Food tells one part of the story. Monique gives the other part a voice through the glass. Every pairing was created with the same care and intention that shaped each course, allowing memory, place, and flavor to meet in conversation. Together we have created an experience where every plate and every pour belong to the same story.
If you choose to join me, I don't expect one evening to change the world.
I do believe every conversation has the power to change the person who is willing to listen.
If you leave my table carrying a little more curiosity, a little more compassion, and a deeper sense of responsibility for one another, then we have shared something far greater than a meal.
I would be honored to welcome you to my table. Thank you.
